A pretty good show tonight. No misfires (for me), no rainouts, rain delays, or rain paces, and no flying weaponry in my direction. And there was a standing O at the end of the night. Not bad at all.

David C. took us chorus members out to DBI to eat breakfast this morning. It was fantastic! I nearly stuffed myself there. Afterwards, Kathy and I went out to Tweetsie Railroad to see Beckie perform as Diamond Lil'. She did a great job (of course), but it was also nice to ride the Ferris Wheel and the chairlift with Kathy. (insert sugary "awwww" here) After that, we went to Mile High Subs and I got the biggest "foot long" sub I've seen in my life. Swear to God, it was at least 18" long. AND I got cheese fries on top of that. Basically I porked out today. It's been a long time since I've eaten that much and that well.

Six shows to go.

Another one of those rain pace shows tonight. We started that way, and ended up performing in a light rain. My cannon didn't go off AGAIN (that's five cannon misfires this season), but fortunately, I didn't suffer a rifle misfire or a flying sword injury.

That's about it, really, at least for now. At this point, I'm just counting the days down until the season ends. Seven to go.

Not a very good show tonight. I think the cast hit the mythical "wall" as a group tonight. The energy was down, and there was just a weird feeling in the air.

The most interesting event this evening happened while I was out on the town. In between stops at our usual restaurants, Jenny and Lexi began asking me about what took me so long to get together with Kathy. I answered them honestly that I just don't have very good perception skills when it comes to a woman being interested in me. That, plus my fear of being rejected kept me from acting on my feelings for a long time.

In any case, the two of them said that they had felt something between Kathy and me since almost the first day we were working together. After some teasing, Jenny told me that she sensed that the two of us have something that will last. We'll see about that; I can say that I'll definitely be working toward a long-term relationship on my end.

Last night's show was alright, but nothing to write home about. Good crowd, though. Last night was my first as Regulator David Caldwell, and I have to say that it was cool. :) We did get standing O number 12 last night, however. This despite quite possibly the gayest fire dance I have ever seen. I think Mike's a good kid, and he tried hard to do his best with the hoop last night, but DAAAAAMMMMNNN.....

Afterwards, we had improv at the Powderhorn. This was our "NC-17" show, so the language and situations were off the page. I have to say that if I never hold a clear blue Gummi strap-on forthe rest of my life, it'll be too soon.

Beckie is going on for Audra as Mary Greene tonight. We had our final understudy rehearsal this afternoon, and despite missing several people (including stage managers), we got what needed to be accomplished done. NINE shows to go.

It's been a long time, I know, but it's been a very busy and eventful past few days for me. Alumni weekend happened this past week, and we went all out. Big crowds, plenty of events and NO SLEEP WHATSOEVER!!!

First, the Horn report. Since I last wrote, we've had three rain pace calls, a hold, and two standing O's. My parents came to see the show last Friday night (they loved it of course). I got hit with an exploding sword last night (and got a nick in the process). I rehearsed last night to take Steve's place as one of the Regulators in the preshow scene. Not much else to report on a strictly Horn-based level.

The Powderhorn season continues to go well. I'll get to Nightmare in a moment. We were rained out of our Friday afternoon show of Midsummer, but we did it Sunday afternoon in the rain, to about 12 people in the audience. Our Monday night show had about 100 in attnedance, and was a BIG hit. We also had Folk Night last Friday after Horn. I sang "In The Pines", with Kathy on guitar. She herself did a monologue and a Tom Waits song on ukelele. It was a good night, overall.

The Actor's Nightmare went well. Everyone pulled together and made it a wonderful show. Wes has already said he will be looking to do it at Wilkes Central next year. On the downside of it, however, I had my coat stolen during or after the show. My car keys were in it, and I had to pay $85 to get new keys made.

Oh, and Kathy and I are a couple. More later.
